During the course of my work as a clinical social worker (MSW,LCSW) in the mental health field, I was drawn to the practical wisdom from yoga sciences, mindfulness meditation and behavioral science-- all of which became a strong foundation in both my personal and professional life.
I have worked in nonprofit, corporate, educational and healthcare settings, offering skills- based guidance and training that helps clients live and work well. Much of my work has been aimed at offering therapeutic tools to people prone to high distractibility and acute, or chronic, anxiety. The tools and practices I offer help clients detangle from ingrained habits that lock them into behaviors that can negatively interfere with how they go about life and engaging with others, whether at work or at home.
My work is informed by years of intensive personal practice study. I do my best to live what I teach and walk my talk. That said, I am an imperfect work- in- progress like everyone else.
I work in the Hudson Valley (New Paltz, NY) and New York City and now, everywhere with the help of Zoom.
